Bolongo Bay - St. Thomas

Day 1 - Our first day in St. Thomas, we just hung out mostly at our beach, Bolongo Bay. This picture was taken from our balcony. The building in the center of the photo is Iggies - a great little bar and grill - good food, good rum drinks and a great all you can eat crab dinner (more later).

Watched these two guys exercise their cocks - roosters that is. In the water swimming - very weird. Then, beach chairs under palapas and palm trees for a large part of the day.

Later that afternoon, had another great, long family discussion about spirituality, "humaness", philosophy and being a radical.

Ate dinner at the Lobster Grill - a restaurant in a sort of tree-house above the pool on Bolongo Bay. I had a great seafood pasta meal with lobster, shrimp and scallops. Everyone else had okay meals.

By the way - Bolongo Bay resort is pretty nice. Down to earth, simple and very beachy. But our condo - other than it's adequate size and nice balcony - sucked. You couldn't shut the master bedroom door because of a curtain rod... unbelievable. The beds were lumpy and things were just overall not in great shape. But we made due. After all - it is beautiful here - and the rum drinks help a lot! :-)
